 THE  VESTRY

               VESTRY AUTHORITY AND ITS ORGANIZATIONS

            The Vestry of the Church of the Ascension is the agent and legal representative in all matters concerning its property and the relations of the congregation to its clergy. It is the Board of Directors and administrative body of the congregation, constituted under the laws of the State of Florida applicable to religious corporations and to Parish congregations of the Episcopal Church in the Diocese of Southeast Florida and the National Church.  The Vestry shall manage all property, funds, affairs and business of the Church of the Ascension.  The Vestry shall have powers and authority, except as may be expressly limited by the Canons, the corporate charter or the By-laws.  The Vestry shall have the power to delegate to the Rector or the Senior Warden, any of its powers, privileges and franchises to seek the accomplishment of its objectives and purposes.
